Some Spyder Club members enjoyed a day on track at Donington Park earlier in the week.
For a one off fee members were well looked after with the Spyder Club bike delivered to the track for them; instruction available throughout the day; fuel; breakfast, lunch and drinks; and the track time itself.
The next event is planned on the 6th June so book your place now!

Spyder Club had a great – if slightly – windy time at the Ducati Days weekend at Silverstone. A truly fabulous event with highlights including the Ducati museum, Maria Costello, Matt Roberts getting his knee down (allegedly!) and the amazing Ducati parade lap.
Spyder Club would like to say a big thank you and well done to everyone at Ducati who helped organize such a great event. Roll on next year!

Valentino Rossi was caught on camera by Spyder Club’s very own Lizzi at the opening of the Wing at Silverstone.
Having spent the day in the company of racing hero’s and legends such as Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, Valentino Rossi, Johnny Rea, Jenson Button, Danny Webb, Mark Webber, John Surtees, Ron Haslam, Randy Mamola, James Toseland, Cal Crutchlow, Scott Redding, Damon Hill, Nigel Mansell and team bosses, Frank Williams, Christian Horner and Ross Brawn at the opening of Silverstone’s amazingly impressive Wing pit and paddock complex, her day was nearly complete…
BUT, hanging round for a while meant she got to see Rossi testing an 1198 with no one else to talk to but Vittoriano Guareschi, Ducati Moto GP Team Manager who was kind enough to take a Spyder Club brochure! Watch Rossi!!

The opening of Silverstone’s new pit and paddock complex, the Wing is going on today. Silverstone’s home page has a promotional film and if that’s anything to go by the UK’s home of motorsport is indeed world class in every single way! Silverstone is already a hugely inspiring place to visit and of course great fun to watch the best racers in the world as well as those who have huge passion, now it has facilities other circuits can aspire to. As well as Damon Hill, Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart and Nigel Mansell attending, Spyder Club’s Lizzi has also got herself in and will hopefully come back with lots to tell and photos.

Simoncelli feels he’s been unfairly treated due to criticism from other riders which he believes lead to the decision from the race director to penalise him with a ride through after the racing incident with Pedrosa. It was a hard move and Pedrosa didn’t need a broken collar bone or a no points score, but Simoncelli is a breath of fresh air and should continue to ignite Moto GP! It’ll be interesting to hear Dani Pedrosa’s views. Autosport speaks with Marco.

On the 21st and 22nd May Ducati UK are hosting Ducati Days, The Art of Corse at Silverstone Race Circuit. This two day event in partnership with Silverstone will offer a unique two wheeled experience for motorcycle and Ducati enthusiasts. Spyder Club are proud to have been invited to exhibit over the weekend and are look forward to this very special event!

The forecast for this weekend wasn’t good but Spyder Club members spend a glorious Sunday riding through the beautiful Cotswold’s on quiet roads. Members will be out riding again soon so if you fancy joining us get in touch!

Despite the weather, today’s Spyder Club open day at Piloti Shoes, Silverstone went well if under attended! The hardy turned up and enjoyed an afternoon of dry riding, thank you to those who attended. A very special thank you also goes to KTM UK for the loan of the staggering RC8 R, Pidcock Triumph for the perfect Daytona 675 R and Ducati UK for the hilarious Hypermotard Evo and unbelievable 848 Evo. We’d also like to praise Piloti for their exceptional hospitality to us, our members and guests, thank you!

Aprilia Tuono V4R APRC
Spyder Club have ordered Aprilia’s new Tuono V4R APRC, the bike arrives on the fleet at the end of June, beginning of July. Praise for the bike seems never ending meaning Spyder Club will be bringing 4 new models for members to ride, the massively impressive Ducati Diavel, Triumph’s brilliant Speed Triple, the massively impressive KTM RC8 R and of course the Tuono.
