Biaggi and Melandri at Donington Park

Congratulations went to Marco Melandri and Carlos Checa for winning at the Donington Park round of World Superbike this weekend.  Leon Haslam was unlucky with two fourth places.

Some bad behaviour went on behind the scenes with a spat between Max Biaggi and Marco Melandri being caught on camera that ended with Biaggi being fined 3000 Euros!  Read James Whitham’s opintion on at all at Visordown.

Chris Walker Back in Green!

Spyder Club friend Chris ‘the Stalker’ Walker is back in green and on the grid for the 2011 rounds of the British Superbike championship.

Chris has joined the new Pr1mo Racing team and has said ‘I am ready for the season now and can’t wait to get cracking.  I am working with a brand new team, new sponsors and a new bike as we have the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-1oR so it’s an exciting time for me.’

Chris already has a great pedigree on a Kawasaki and Spyder Club will be following his progress at his site Walker the Stalker.

Spyder Club Member Starts an Adventure!

One of Spyder Club’s more entrepid adventurers has just started the journey of a lifetime with motorcycling legend Rick Sanders along the Pan American highway.

A huge undertaking for anyone to achieve the trip will cover over 20,000 miles from Buenos Aires through the Atacama desert finally finishing in New York via Alaska!

As Nick himself says ‘if you want an easy, gentle trip then don’t fill in the application form, if you want a journey that truly challenges you, this is for you.’

Spyder Club New Bikes Arriving!

A new season means new bikes for the Spyder Club fleet and  now we have returned from Spain the changes have begun.  Spyder Club members and tour guests will for a fourth year be treated to an updated fleet, meaning we have provided customers with over 40 different motorcycles to ride over the last three years.

First bikes to arrive will be Ducati’s brilliant all-rounder, the Multistrada Sport fully equipped with panniers – also a like-for-like replacement for our incredibly popular 848.  Two more models for 2011 will also be available to members and tour guests, the stunning new Ducati Diavel (arriving in June) and Triumph’s much improved Speed Triple both of which have been highly praised by the press.

Other new additions to the Spyder Club fleet will be announced shortly – you can subscribe to our newsletter to be kept up to date on changes to the fleet.
